Judge 1: Black & white photographs need to be crisply in focus. Watch the ISO to achieve this. Burial plots capture a mood which is enhanced by black & white. The background can detract from the subject. Judge 2: Desperately needs contrast and range of values (all mid tone - low contrast) try "s"ing the curve some. Think there may be a thought here, but don’t' really understand it. Is it about the tree sculpture, the headstone behind is too joined to it. Maybe better selection, walking around for the best isolation of subject/ background. Judge 3: Great subject and composition. Pithy image. Luv it!

Judge 1: Use the foreground subject to block any distractions in the background (glare on the window). The title fits and the idea is wonderful. Concentrate more on the proper angles. Good idea. Judge 2: Also badly needs contrast and range of values. Focus is good. Love the curves of the water and the fast shutter speed to freeze the drops. judicous use of ps might make image very good. Judge 3: Good subject, but needs some wow. More contrast or whiter whites would help.
OrlandoCameraClub > Your Move by: Reg Garner

Judge 1: Checkerboard shots are confusing to the eye, usually. This photograph's confusion is masked by the background building, making it more pleasing to view. Perhaps a totally black & white shot would give this the zip it needs to be an award winning shot. Excellent use of perspective. Judge 2: Great depth and perspective. Clever angles to the tiles and tower. leads the eye and has a payof in tower and tree. sliver of tiles on right distracting. Want to see tower just a touch more to the left, tree and dark background with edge placement leads eye clumsily out of frame. Still, very nice shot. Judge 3: Great perspective, composition, and color!
