Judge 1: Pattern photography makes more of an impact when the pattern is defined by the subject's description. There is no way to know what this pattern is a part of (though one could guess). A wider/broader view would have made this a more descriptive photo. taking away the guess work. Judge 2: Good isolation of the pattern against the contrasting background. No problem with a centered compostion in this type of formal arrangement, in fact it's very good for this: harmonious with the pattern. I find the clipped edges of the composition slightly distracting. Possibly slightly closer with only curves leading out? It may be the contraints of the electronic review, but it sees oversharpened to me - maybe that's just the texture of the curves. I like the saturation of orange in the u.l. corner but it washes out elsewhere, harsh lighting maybe? Judge 3: Good technique, but I don’t get the point.
