OrlandoCameraClub > Snail Kite On Post by: Diane Chenault

Judge 1 :Well posed snail kite in excellent light. Wish for more space in front and fill flash would have helped to light up underwings.Judge 2 :Excellent composition and interesting foot placement has resulted in a strong image of this kite. Technically excellent.Judge 3: A technically excellent capture. Only the post and background which seem to take the bird our for it element keep this from being a world-class image.
OrlandoCameraClub > Purrfection by: Melissa Squillante

Judge 1 :Unfortunately the kitty is overexposed and his tail is cut off. Still nice to see contrasting textures.Judge 2 :Nice composition and idea for this pet portrait. The background of leaves works well to make the cat 'pop'. The image is let down by what appears to be overexposure of the cat, resulting in loss of detail in the face and fur. The image also would be significantly better if the cat was looking at the camera.Judge 3: A cute shot diminished by overexposure of the kitty from flash, lack of critical focus, and cat looking away.
OrlandoCameraClub > Strength by: Jami McCutheon

Judge 1 :A superb portrait. A bit more space to his left would have captured his whole helmet, but this is a minor nit.Judge 2 :Nice environmental portrait of the firefighter. It is technically well executed, but would have greater impact if there was eye contact with the camera.Judge 3: A good portrait. Cropping out the white line to the left would strengthen the image.
OrlandoCameraClub > Early Morning Bride by: Lori Aulin

Judge 1 :Technically excellent, but personally I don't like to see the hand cutoff leading out of the frame.Judge 2 :Good composition and the wistful expression are the strong points of this image. However, it suffers from a loss of highlight detail in the dress, and the B&W conversion lacks a little 'punch'.Judge 3: Technically good and well composed image. Tentative look on the bride's face and somewhat flat printing diminishes the impact of the image.
OrlandoCameraClub > Waiting by: Winnie Gustafson

Judge 1 :The harness parts do not capture my attention and the chains divide the blurred horses.Judge 2 :I really enjoyed this image. Excellent composition and good use of depth of field to tell the story without detracting from the focal point. Nice sepia toning complements the image very well.Judge 3: Excellent use of selective focus. Good symmetry and use of image tone. Unfortunately, that muted color and symmetry lessen the impact of the image compared to others.
OrlandoCameraClub > Anhinga by: Walter Hamler

Judge 1 :A bit centered and the 2 blades of grass to the left draw attention away. Nice lighting but wish the head were more in profile to see red eye.Judge 2 :A fairly solid bird shot with nice lighting. Composition is perhaps too centered in the frame and there are distracting elements at the bottom left.Judge 3: A technically good image whose impact is diminished by a centered composition and the two distracting reeds on the lower left.
OrlandoCameraClub > Reflecting Seats by: Janet Turner

Judge 1 :The focus is on the center seat but enough DOF should have been used so that the closest seats should also be in focus. The reflecting hightlights are too bright.Judge 2 :Nice idea for this shot, demonstrating that the photographer has a eye for something a little different. Good use of depth of field. Unfortunately, the refections are not sufficiently interesting or distinct to create a particularly impactful image.Judge 3: A creative image, well seen and photographed. Would be stronger if it was cropped just at the top of the seats and also to eliminate the right-most seat.
OrlandoCameraClub > Mt Rainier by: Beverly Morton-Goble

Judge 1 :A nice areial view. Excellent exposure. Might be a bit too tight.Judge 2 :Nice arial view of the mountain, but overall the image is a little flat and lacking in interesting detail.Judge 3: A technically well done shot of a mountain. Photographed in better light, slightly wider, with less above and more at the foot would make a more dramatic image.
OrlandoCameraClub > "Hot Shoe" by: Anna Cary

Judge 1 :Great vivid colors.I would prefer more room on the right.Judge 2 :This is a quite powerful image of a difficult subject. The haziness induced by the heat provides a somewhat painterly effect. Nicely done. Judge 3: Soft focus and abstraction make it hard to identify without the title. The image need something sharp to anchor it.
